LA / OSTRICH FARM
i am so excited when a new restaurant opens in my neighborhood. i’m often very lazy when it comes to venturing out of my hood (traffic avoidance and i’m a convenience addict) so i usually end up eating at the same 5 or 6 restaurants on a regular basis. lately i’ve been pretty tired of the same old same old, so when ostrich farm opened down the street from me in echo park it was a happy day.
so first of all, the decor is STUNNING. every little detail was thought out. it’s such a romantic little spot. 4 of my girlfriends and i went there the other night for dinner and we couldn’t get over how great everything was!
the crab citrus and avocado salad is seriously amazing. the pork ossobuco with roasted fennel and polenta was next level good. i loved the roasted chicken over mashed potatoes, the brussels sprouts with pancetta and egg, and the flatbread appetizers…there wasn’t anything that was just ok on the menu.
delicious and beautifully plated!
i love the brass lights, white brick, and woven elements. and how about those gorgeous bar stools?!
i went in with jesse to shoot these photos for the blog and chatted with brooke, the owner, for a while. she told me they are opening late hours (1am) on thursday-sundays. very excited about some wine nights there. and brunch! they are opening on march 21st for brunch on the weekends, and i’ll be first in line for that.
if you want to follow some of my other favorite food spots you can check my instagram hashtag #dlffavefoodspot. and definitely stop by ostrich farm if you haven’t already.

Do you have a source link for the brass wall mount lights?
