well, here i am sitting on my couch. tears in my eyes and goosebumps on my arms reading over the survey reviews of our first blogshop online class. let me tell you, this thing was a real labor of love and was no easy task to put together. i feel SO proud of our team for all the late nights working on this next step for blogshop (and believe me there were tears then too!) i wanted to share some of the quotes with you from our first students. they are so sweet and are totally making my morning.
also, i’m here to announce our SECOND online class we just added. you can sign up right here! it will be streaming on feb 1st and 2nd, from the comfort of your own home. we announce to our mailing list first, so it’s half filled at this point…
and ps. our in person LA blogshop has a couple spots too. there’s still something great about taking a workshop in person, right?

we taught blogshop in a venue called big medium in austin. that gorgeous backdrop was created by trilby nelson (and i’m obsessed with it!) our decor and florals were executed by bird dog wedding. some of my favorite florals yet!
we used unique furniture from loot vintage rentals and succulents from sweet magnolia floral adorned all of our tables. i love the wood + brass accents.

this blogshop class was pretty convenient for me, i just walked downstairs from my office to teach. the unique space has a co-work area that we used to hold the event. it worked out perfectly. we just announced our next LA class in february here!
we hung california maptotes on all of the chairs, filled with a bunch of cool products. might as well get some last minute gift ideas from our list, eh?

well, it’s BIG ANNOUNCEMENT time! we have taught photoshop to bloggers and small businesses for over 2 and a half years now, in person. it has become a bigger part of my life than i would have ever expected, and i feel so grateful for the opportunity to meet and teach so many eager students. i still can’t believe we have taught over 90 sold out classes, i still look forward to teaching every time. however, there are only two of us and we can’t travel everywhere.
0ver the last few months we have been working very hard on creating an ONLINE version of the class! so many of you have requested the ability to watch our class online, and we’re so excited to finally make that a reality. you can now watch us from the comfort of your own home (in your pajamas) and save on the cost of travel & hotels. you’ll be able to stream the blogshop course over a 2 day period, rewinding as much as you’d like and have access to online tech support. we will still be teaching in person classes at least once a month (because we still think there are definitely advantages to the individual help and creative environment.) we can’t wait to see how this next venture unfolds and hope to teach so many more of you the photoshop skills to make your web presence shine.
TO SIGN UP FOR THE VERY FIRST, DISCOUNTED PRICE ONLINE BLOGSHOP GO HERE! the first one will be streaming from january 11-12th and will be $199. there will be a very limited number of students in this session while we test the process. click here to read more & sign up. (our first session will be available to U.S. only and tech support will be for mac computers. international viewing coming very soon.)
*** UPDATE: the first session sold out very quickly, but don’t worry there will be more shortly! join our mailing list to get the updates on our next release before anyone else.
here’s a quick breakdown of the differences between the in person blogshop VS. the online version…
so what do you say, want to join us ONLINE this time?
we taught in aran goyoaga’s charming studio in seattle. i brought on the super talented jenn elliott blake on decor and flowers. she made this massive backdrop out of colored yarn and made every student these braided elements with watercolor name tags by julia manchik.

bath salts by swim club bath salts remind me how much i miss having a bathtub. these simple labels are pretty great too. they remind me of the ace hotel...
everyone got a sweet fig & honey candle by small gunns. they come in reusable whiskey glasses!
have you seen the kinfolk table cookbook yet? it’s all recipes for small gatherings (my favorite!) the pages are wonderful but it looks nice on the shelves of your kitchen as well.
really into these graphic tea towels by little korboose! the set is awesome & the material is so soft. i’m thinking about wrapping special gifts with these this year!
i was so excited to pass out these pink clay spa kits from herbivore botanicals. the packaging itself is so beautiful. i would gladly display these in my bathroom.
the tables had wildly colorful arrangements by jenn and more muted bkr water bottles for everyone. (the color shown above is milk)
i always get compliments on my all seeing eye ring from moorea seal!
how about these cute copper foiled thanksgiving gobble cards from laura hooper calligraphy?
one winner received a set of 3 tea sets from RH signature co.
we hung paintings by jenny vorwaller up on the walls to add some color to the space. i love these!
my friend cassandra’s parents have a restaurant in seattle called tinello. they brought over their famous cannolis and coffee for our afternoon break. you should check out the restaurant if you’re local!
