HOLIDAY PARTY AT ROW DTLA!
we capped off our year with an epic holiday party at ROW DTLA last week and it was so much fun! this event was part of my year long partnership with them where i’m hosting events (like the Still Life Ceramics class a few weeks ago), visiting their amazing curation of shops and restaurants and overall getting to support their vision for bringing something really special to downtown LA!
they did the best job of picking out shops and restaurants that are destinations on their own and having them side by side and accessible with easy parking and car free streets adds to the experience. the murals, signage, and the layout of ROW is really well executed and makes for a fun outing.
of the flowers decked it out our dinner with tons of candles, a handmade tablecloth and the most beautiful wreaths i have ever seen (i love this shot of them in all their glory).
for the guest gift, we created bags with a mix of items from some of favorite shops a gift card to go get em tiger for coffee (their almond macadamia latte is so good!), candles from Poketo, a pinch bowl from Hawkins New York, Jacobsen salt and mini bottles of liquor from flask & field. i also love Still Life Ceramics for beautiful handmade pieces, Myrtle for clothes (i bought a dress there a few weeks back that i wore to a wedding), LCD for a beautiful shopping experience, A+R for home inspiration and many more!
we hosted a tiki party this summer on one of their rooftops and for this holiday party we wanted to to utilize one of their restaurants. hosting an event at a restaurant really eliminates many of the stressors as the food, drink, table, chairs, place settings, etc are already there and we don’t have to bring in all of the elements to make it happen. the meal was family style and we did a wine pairing which made it feel laid back and fun. we all just rotated around the table and talked for hours.
i highly recommend checking out ROW DTLA if you’re looking for a place to host an event. they have so many locations to pick from rooftops, to restaurants like M. Georgina (which is next on our list for a dinner party!) logistically it’s streamlined as there is plenty of parking and you can utilize the variety of shops inside.
we have hosted tons (100+!?) events over the years and there are so many moving pieces that go into each one. this party felt like one we could truly relax at and was really easy to plan from start to finish. and so nice to all get together before the holiday madness and fill up on pasta and champagne. i never ever regret a good friend’s dinner!
