WEEKEND AT HOME / 46

weekend at home: seeing green | designlovefest

i’ve been seeing this deep, forest green everywhere lately. it’s such an earthy, natural color, and makes a really cool accent color in a room. after all, greenery made the pantone color of the year. a few ideas to incorporate it into a space: paint an accent wall, green upholstered furniture, hang green wall art, and, of course, fill your home with lots of plants! what is your favorite way to add a bit of greenery to your space? erika

    right? it’s totally overlooked usually!

We painted our entire bedroom a dark forest green color. It’s dramatic in a cozy way and contrasts well with our wood trim. I have bright white bedding, hanging plants and little pops of florals around to help lighten it up and give it a little bit of a romantic feel. Totally obsessed with green!

    that sounds lovely, so serene!

We did the same in our room! We left the paint a bit uneven- it seemed like it would have gotten too dark and serious if we’d added another coat. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but it’s really grown on me.

Ah, I wish my apartment wasn’t such a dark cave, so I could have plants everywhere! I have tried and tried, but they just can’t stay alive without sun.-__-

girl, i feel you! i used to live in a dark cave-like apartment too and nothing would live! in retrospect, i wish i would have just snuck in some fake plants to make it look a little less dark.

A green color is liked, gives feeling of naturalness and calmness) As usual, interestingly and enthrallingly.
