10 DREAMY HOTELS
i’m always dreaming of new hotels to visit. i just love the whole experience of a well designed hotel…from the room keys, to the decor, to the restaurant, to the robes, to the bathrooms. they make me so happy! expedia asked me to share 10 hotels i’m dreaming of staying at and here are the ones currently at the top of my list…
what’s your current favorite hotel? i’d love to know!
hotel covell | los angeles, CA
i’ve been to events here but never had the chance to stay the night. the location is perfect and all of the room details are cozy and modern. there is also a killer wine bar right down stairs which is an added bonus to staying the night!
la dimora di metello | matera, italy
there are so many beautiful hotels in italy! the neutral colors, exposed stone walls, and that bath tub have me wanting to stay here. just look at those ceilings!
rosas and xocolate | merida, yuk
pink hotel, with an outdoor bathtub!? not overly priced and breakfast is included in their room rates! mexico is always on my bucket list, so many different places to explore and visit. it never gets old. remember this trip i took to tulum and also mexico city?
amangiri | canyon point, utah
this one has been on my list for a really long time! i think it’s time i take a road trip out to utah. i’ve had friends visit and they say it’s amazing. i love traveling abroad but there are also many places in the states that i still want to visit. like the grand canyon, can’t believe i’ve never been there!
katikies hotel | santorini, greece
so beautiful and so simple! the white washed city of santorini and this hotel are on my dream list. have you been to greece? is it as pretty as it looks? which island was your favorite?
the serai | jaisalmer, india
just look at that awesome safari tent you get to sleep in!
post ranch inn | big sur california
i’ve only ever driven through big sur but it’s one of the most beautiful places i’ve ever been and this hotel has stunning 360 degree views. i’d love to stay in one of their treehouse style rooms and soak in their infinity pool. i’d also like to visit the hot springs at the esalen institute which is not far from the inn.
ett hem | stockholm, sweden
the swedes really do have such great style and taste. i love the traditional style of the rooms mixed with pops of modern colors. the hotel is housed in an old townhouse which gives it a very comfortable and relaxed feeling.
casa cook | rhodes, greece
can you tell i’m wanting to go to greece? there are just too many pretty places to stay and explore!
tierra patagonia | torres de paine, chile
joanie went here on her honeymoon and said it was amazing. i love how it’s built into its surrounding so it barely stands out or takes away from the natural beauty of the area. how about those hanging chairs?!
this post was made in collaboration with expedia. all opinions and hotel selections are my own.
Casa Cook has been on my dream vacation list for some time, the images look euphoric!

Song Saa, in Cambodia, was amazing! We stayed there in May.
I would love to visit them!! 😀

These look stunning… The Nam Hai is my favorite, it’s on the beach near Hoi An, Vietnam. Followed closely by the Chedi in Chang Mai, Thailand.
Lovely post! I’m currently dreaming of Majeka House in SA, and planning a little getaway at Memmo Alfama in PT!
Oh my gosh, these are all INSANE. So breathtaking. The Santorini and Italy hotels? Killing me. I’ll have to check out the LA and Big Sur ones because they are too close not to. Saving this list!

It’s unfortunate that these mostly cater to affluent folks. I have been traveling solo for 17+ years and typically am about the experience of the surroundings, not spending a fortune on a room that I only sleep/bathe in. It’s nice to stay somewhere beautiful, though modest.
If you are traveling in the Upstate region of New York, there’s a great place called “The Roxbury”… Calls itself a “boutique motel resort”… and the Catskills Region offers some great seasonal hiking and skiing…

One other hotel not to be missed is the Amansara, in Siem Reap Cambodia. Minimalism at it’s best, but super-luxuroius.

I would be happy to stay in any of these places, they all look absolutely amazing!
Rae | Love from Berlin
I went to Post Ranch on my honeymoon in October. It set the bar extremely high for all future hotel experiences – staff was incredibly attentive, out of this world food, and amazing hiking!
I love love love the Sylvia Beach Hotel in Newport, Oregon. It’s a 1920s renovated hotel, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, for book lovers. Every room is decorated in the style of a different author. There’s a two-story library upstairs, with amazing water views, where they serve spiced wine for sipping by the fire. No phones or TVs. Great restaurant on the lower level, called Tables of CONtent, until you’ve had your meal, when it becomes Tables of ConTENT. A place of peace, where you meet fascinating people (lots of writers and composers) from around the world. No five-star amenities, but walks on the beach, peace and quiet, a place to heal or be romantic.
amazing recommendation, thank you!
