Alchemy Works: situated in the arts district downtown this shop has friendly staff who can help direct you to a great gift or a new pair of shoes for yourself. it’s proximity to our office is a problem because we can’t visit without wanting at least a thing or two!
Broome St. General Store: this place is part cafe, part gift shop. they have a great selection of home items everything from cooking staples, coffee table books, kitchen linens, etc. they have an extended location which is across the street and is definitely worth a visit as well!

Poketo: a bright, fun store with a little bit of everything. they have two locations: DTLA’s Arts District and The LINE Hotel. it’s a great place to grab a gift for a friend!
Shop Dawn: easy, breezy, and beautiful is all we have to say about these LA made dresses. pretty prints, flowing fabrics will have you feeling like a venice beach goddess in no time.
Clare V: handbag and accessory heaven. the have two LA locations but we prefer the silverlake one. the handbags are amazing and she also stocks really cool hats and jewelry.
Creatures of Comfort: so much california cool to be found in this shop. it’s pricey but really fun to browse and they have a yearly sale that’s excellent.
The General Store Venice: just a beautiful place to walk through, get your hippie on and embrace the venice vibes in this place.
Mohawk General Store: a silver lake staple, i love to look here and get inspired but truthfully almost never buy anything because it’s pretty pricey. they carry a lot of great european and Japanese. also check next door at Lacausa, lots of pretty chic things.
Dream Collective: right next door to clare V, this place feels like you’re visiting a little art gallery, everything is really beautifully displayed. i’m a fan of the vintage rack in the back. even if you’re not wanting to buy anything, it’s fun just to look.
Reform School: just a great place to buy unique and quirky gifts. love their card selection too.
Myrtle: if you’re looking to spruce up your closet with a few pieces this is your place. it’s well stocked and carries a lot of harder to find brands. the owner, whitney, really loves women and carries a lot of pieces that have personality and charm.
Principessa: a venice spot for the boho chic gal! think flowy dresses, lacey bras, and funky accessories.
New Stone Age: the best place to go for the impossible person to shop for, this store is filled with so many special little pieces. you can find everything from jewelry, to home goods, candles, accessories, etc. so many unique and beautiful things, a real gem of a shop.
Eggy: we are a childless office but we can still appreciate a killer children’s boutique. it’s small but jam packed with excellent baby and children’s clothes. visiting this place might even make you want to have a baby.
Lawson Fenning: few things more satisfying as an adult then buying something really cool for your home. the beverly location has a lot of expensive furniture if that’s your thing but their silver lake store has awesome home accessories, like pillows, rugs, light fixture, candles, etc. and also furniture if you’re looking to make an investment. (also Lake and Yolk right next door are great too for gifts, decor and rugs)
