ARTISTS IN THEIR STUDIOS
natalie and i are headed to marfa tomorrow morning with six other friends for my 30th birthday. it feels like it’s coming at a perfect time, because i think it will be really creatively fulfilling. we were talking about donald judd (he had a true vision of marfa becoming a place for his art after being frustrated with the small spaces in new york. he relocated to the vast emptiness in texas.) this got us thinking about artists from the past and their work spaces, a topic that’s always fascinating.
matisse, ray eames, picasso, alexander calder and more…
so fun to look at, right?
