friday’s a little bittersweet for me because my boyfriend leaves for hong kong tomorrow and i won’t see him for 2 and a half weeks. i also head to stockholm and italy next wednesday and i’m already feeling the travel anxiety that comes along with a long trip out of the country. BUT i did just download the tripit app and i love it! it organizes all of my connecting flights easily in this one place (since i always seem to lose the confirmation emails!)

i am teaching LA blogshop today and our LA video class tomorrow (still 2 spots left in that one if you wanna join us in hollywood!) i hope you have a great weekend everyone! do you have any fun trips coming up? any cool travel apps you love? -bri

    Hi Bri,

I don’t want to add more stress to you, but I think your image link may be broken.
Have a wonderful time in Europe and at your Blogshop!

TripIt is my favorite travel app. It organizes all your times and confirmation numbers of everything planned, making check-in a breeze because you aren’t searching for a piece of paper.

    Safe travels!

    Hey lady,
I was curious as to if louisville, ky might ever be on the city list for blogshop? I found out about the nashville blogshop too late to attend + would love to have the chance to learn from you;) Safe travels lovely!

Have fun in Stockholm! My family is from Sweden, so it’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit. I kinda love your comment about the travel anxiety…I totally have that too, so it’s refreshing to hear. It will be great though, so don’t worry! I saw that you’re thinking about coming Seattle for Blogshop, I would love it if you did! I’ll start saving my money now :)

    hi bri,

i’m travelling the world with my guy at the moment (currently in NYC) and we’ve got a few apps we love. we use ulmon map apps – they are offline maps of cities and you can pin different locations you want to visit, so when you head out, you can still find addresses, train stations, stores and attractions without a network. we also use trail wallet to keep track of our spendings as we go and ALWAYS have google translate + an offline translate app for when ordering food or trying to communicate with people who don’t speak english. we found this really useful in Italy as their english can be pretty bad in some parts, and free wifi is not common there as they have seem to have a few privacy issues. have fun :)

I am flying out from London to Stockholm on Thursday morning for your Blogshop class, I seriously can’t wait! I snagged a really pretty apartment from Air BnB less than 2km from the studio. I’m stoked to have chosen to travel for this class as i’m realising Stockholm has so much to visit especially the Helmut Newton exhibition that ends on the Sunday.

Been a fan of your Blog for so long. woohoo!

  • 16. giulia  |  September 22nd, 2013 at 5:27 pm

i’m sure you’ll have tons of fun in europe so that will hopefully compensate:)
i’ve never been to stockholm but it must be beautiful.
i am italian and i do know italy well, which cities will you be visiting?

  • 17. Melissa  |  September 23rd, 2013 at 6:24 am

I’m a little biased but I hope that once you’re in Italy all your travel anxiety will melt away by the beauty of the country :) The food helps too.

TripIt is so fabulous for getting organized. Also check out Triposo – city and country guides for everywhere you can think of. You can download them ahead of time and then access all kinds of info (maps, suggestions, tourist attractions, language guides, restaurant reviews, etc.) without WiFi/internet access. Super convenient & pretty.

my good friend just went to stockholm a few weeks ago, he had so much fun. you will love it. and you will probably blend right in bri, you look kind of swedish!
as for apps – i use dreamdays to countdown to an event or trip i am excited for. it’s visually stunning.
don’t forget wunderlist! i would make a packing list now, it might relieve some of your nerves.
and if you want to know the weather over yonder, the yahoo weather app gets an A for pretty.
relax bri, it will all be just fine! :)
