PHOTOSHOP FOR BLOGGERS

we decided to teach another class in our hometown at the gorgeous catchlight studios with our impeccable decor setup by natalie shriver with florals by heather of twig & twine.

bkrs greeted our students at the table as always. keeping the colors light this time.

the outdoor bbq season has officially arrived with the start of summer. i’ll be lighting up one of these starlight tins by illume on my patio (and they really don’t have an overpowering citronella smell.)

and i love the painted terra cotta cactus pots that heather & natalie teamed up on!

these  anorak kissing seagull pouches from artsy modern are perfect for stashing important things for a trip to the beach (they’re waterproof) or just running around town. artsy modern also has a matching picnic blanket that we’re giving away right here.

the journal is a staple of our goodie bag, and this time around we chose geometric notebooks made by think & ink studio. graphic and simple, just my style. we also gave away mousepads in peach and black as a prize for an in-class contest.

we encourage our students to sketch out thumbnails and stay inspired, so we thought some colored pencils would be a good desk essential. these sets by oliday (also an LA-based company!) are nice because they store well together in a compact tube. the design is also clean.

good keychains are underrated. i also think they’re hard to find, so we wanted to give these copper key fobs with leather banners from 1.61 soft goods, handmade right here in LA.

our lovely friends over at urbanic sent us these cards from the brand new ferme line that we dropped in each bag. soon you’ll be able to shop online, but for now check out their pop-up shop.

irene, one of our blogshop alumni makes mini decorative paper pinwheels under the name everyday & co. it’s fun to see the creative work of past students.

we were beyond impressed with urban palate, who catered our lunch for this session. on day one we had colorful bento boxes and the second day perfectly wrapped little bites. delicious is an understatement.

most of us here at blogshop take our coffee pretty seriously and handsome coffee roasters serves up some of the best in town in my opinion. i fell in love with it at a coffee shop near my office and i just knew i had to share the best of LA with our students, so handsome roasters came in and set up a pop-up shop making hot drinks just for our blogshoppers.

another afternoon treat came in the form of  napolean’s macarons. they made quite an impact bundled together and tasted even better.

our second LA session kept the smilebooth photos coming of course. we had two mother daughter dates in this class. (so cute!) and check out our instagram feed to see class from our students’ perspectives!

    Hi Bri!

Where did you get the black placemat with the white triangles on it? It’s shown in the photo with the key fob?

    Thanks!!
