almost three years ago exactly i posted about my first trip to the getty museum (polaroids above from that day). i went back a few weeks ago to get inspired with kim and it was such a beautiful day.

i also wanted to take a few photos of the scarf we are giving away today! enter below and you can win this awesome yokoo soopascarf in the color of your choice! i wear my yokoo products religiously in the colder months  (see here and here) and thought it would be really fun to give one away!

if you live in LA, now is such a good time to visit the getty. you pay $15 to park and the museum is free. if you are a freelancer i recommend going during a week day to avoid some of the crowds. make sure to take a lunch date and sit out on the balcony to enjoy the view of the incredible landscape.

go to the getty, you won’t regret it. i haven’t been to the getty villa in malibu yet, but i would really love to go soon.

1. visit yokoo’s site and leave a comment below with the color of your choice and how you would style your new scarf.

one winner will be chosen on Thursday, Nov 8th at 10am PST. make sure you leave a way I can reach ya if you win. good luck! -bri

Oh- and get to the Getty Villa in Malibu. I’ve been (although YEARS ago) and it was to die for. Still need to get to the Getty museum though.

I have been eyeballing Yokoo scarves for years now. One day I might finally shell out for one but as long as I own five pashmina’s, I just can’t justify it. I would get one in spice or wood and wear it with my performance gear (usually a little black or floral dress with leggings) and dramatically remove it before I start singing. So much drama.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE(!!) this scarf in the goldenrod color as that is hands-down my favorite accessory color as I wear it well, and would it would work well with my winter wardrobe which typically consists of skinny waxed dark gray jeans, an over-sized neutral colored hi-lo sweater, and some chunky brown ankle boots. Donna says:

I LOVE THIS SCARF. I live in Minnesota where the winters get really REALLY cold so I’d probably style it with my wool winter coat, down vest, or down coat (when its really cold). BUT I want this for another reason, too. I am an oral cancer survivor and cold weather is very difficult on my mouth and neck where I had surgery and then Chemo and then Radiation. A scarf like that would just make my Minnesota winters so much easier — I’d be warm where I need to be warm, PLUS I’d look stylish too. Win Win. You favored my ETSY shop and I found your lovely blog just today. Now I’m gonna go dig around your blog for awhile, read and enjoy the photos, art, and whatever else I can find. THANKS!

    Donna says:

Oophs….. forgot to add a color. I’d take whatever color but I’d prefer the cranberry…or spice. AND I love YoKoo’s ETSY shop! So. Beautiful.

    Christa says:

From the number of comments, it’s obvious that folks love both your blog and your keen eye (myself included). Fabulous choice on the scarf. For me, living in Maine and working in Boston, it’s mostly black for the simplicity of work days and LL Bean drab for the performance of outdoor activities and weekends. The Soopascarf by Yokoo is perfect in ANY color to dress up everyday style, work or play. It’s an ideal mix of luxury, style and function. I’d be thrilled for you to pick any color, please, and send it my way… The Yokoo shop on Etsy is brilliant and so is your blog. Keep up the inspired work!

    Jeffrey says:

Such an incredible set of scarves your making. If I had to choose a color I think I’d have to go with the Oatmeal one, my girlfriend would look so good wearing her peacoat and wrapped up in that.

    Eula says:

Awesome issues here. I’m very happy to see your post. Thank you so much and I’m looking forward to touch you.
