BING IT ON RESULTS

so as you may know, i took the bing challenge. all week i used bing instead of google as my search engine. here’s what i think about it!

one of my favorite ways to use bing (which i have done for a while now) is to find the perfect flight. they help me find the cheap flights for all of our blogshop traveling. a lot of times our blogshops are planned without a ton of advance planning, so we have to be careful not to spend a fortune on airfare.

also, i was looking up venues for our atlanta blogshop, and something that caught my eye was that they list all of your facebook friends that currently live in the area that you are searching. this was actually helpful for me because it led me to a friend that had some good suggestions for my event. definitely beneficial if you are going on a trip and want to ask friends for restaurant or hotel recommendations.

as far as the image search, the design is clean and nice. however i don’t see any drastic improvements from google on this one to be honest. there was definitely some interesting features while using bing. i am not sure i am swayed completely away from google (especially because i use chrome) however bing is now on my radar for sure. and taking the challenge was fun too. if you are interested in taking the blind comparison test, check it out over here!

thanks for reviewing, bri! i actually started to use bing this week – only because you were doing it too! i too like their convenient flight-finder, but other than that, i haven’t done much else in depth. due to habit, i’ll probably use google initially, but bing will always be in the back of my mind.

thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂

Any flight finder that suggests Virgin America is a good flight finder by me 😉

thanks for an honest review 🙂

That is one of my favorite photos. I agree with you that bing’s flight tool is great—I’ve found the price predictor to be on point. Otherwise, I’ve gotten some strange results—like searching for a business and not having it show up on the first page. I just took the blind challenge and it froze before giving me the result. Does that mean Google won?

I chose Google. That doesn’t surprise me.
