MARKET RESEARCH

photo via home-designing

many of you know this already. but for the ones who don’t, it’s a super helpful tip!

it’s important to do some market research on your blog. you want to know what posts people love! not necessairly so you can only post those things, but it’s a good thing to keep in mind.

i use pinterest a lot for this. if you type: http://pinterest.com/source/designlovefest.com (but insert your blog name at the end) you will get a page that looks like this. it will show you what people are pinning directly from your site, so you have a better idea!

happy pinning! -bri

What a neat tip! Your tip actually prompted me to consider how I credit images found on pinterest. I would usually just repin the image to one of my boards then link to my blog post (sheer laziness on my part); I would also link to where the image was originally found, usually someone’s tumblr. Starting today, I am linking to the board where I found the pin. I think that is better, right? I am still learning proper blogging etiquette, please be patient with me :D
