I love Britt’s work so much!! The paper installation will actually be hanging in my store soon!! I can’t wait. I have some of her smaller pieces on my site at the moment. Each piece is so unique and wonderful. So glad to see her featured here.
When I was younger I used to make these big pieces of artwork by clipping out chunks of colors I liked in magazines and shaping them into things my friends liked – like a typewriter for a friend who wrote a lot of letters, or a guitar for a musician and so forth. (Side note… I had like 10 subscriptions as a teen thanks to my grandmother. I don’t think I missed out on any mag that featured the word “teen” with the exception of my subscription to vogue.) They would come out kind of like this… totally makes me want to do it again. Thanks for sharing!
Britt Bass has some very interesting art with all the folded, colourful paper on the wall. Amazing how sculptural it looks. However, my fav is the first painting.
