COUCH TIME

audrey hepburn shot by Douglas Kirkland, 1965

this week is slowing down to almost a complete hault. it’s sort of amazing when everyone takes a break all at once, isn’t it? there is a feeling of relief coming from all my hardworking friends who are desperately ready for a few cocktails and some couch time.

i’m sitting here in my office with almost all of my projects wrapped for the year and reflecting on how incredibly lucky I have felt this year. i took that leap of faith to freelance life just 11 months ago. i can’t believe it took me so many years to do it. in may, we started blogshop, which gave me the perfect reason to travel all over the world and do what i love. i joined my friends in a creative workspace. i moved in with my boyfriend. got two kittens. life is good! 2011, i think i love you!

i am wishing you all great success and hoping you all find what it is that you love doing…and do it! you’d be surprised what a little believing in yourself can do. xx, bri

Bri, I wanted to thank you for so many positive vibes and total inspiration you have brought into my life. I’m a new mother, a graphic designer and once was lost. I found myself lost in many ways, but I stumbled upon your blog and got a true awakening. I am taking that leap of faith come Jan 2012 and hope to one day take the blogshop you offer. Come back to the Bay? San Francisco I know you love it! lol Hope you have a Merry Christmas + many joys in the new year.

Hey Bri: I like what you wrote about your 2011 because I feel like so many people unintentionally (out of habit) tend to dwell on what went wrong for them each year, rather than counting their blessings. You ARE blessed (and know it), and so are all of us to be able to read and see all the great things you post. You’re such an inspiration and you deserve all the great things that have come into and will keep coming into your life.

    Much love and respect. x’s & o’s

Bri-you are truly inspirational and I could not be happier for you and what you have accomplished this year. You have really helped me get out there and find my creative side not only for myself but for my new business that I started this year with my sister. And of course Blogshop! I took your New York Sept course and it has helped me so so much! Have a wonderful holiday and happy new year! :)

I couldn’t agree with you more! I have a random question…do you use a stylus to write on the pics like you do? I’m contemplating buying one, but not sure.
