THIS IS HOW I PROCRASTINATE

you want to know something weird? sometimes when my brain feels like it might explode because I clearly took on far too many projects in one month…i do this. i fill shapes with pretty colors. and that makes me calm. today it was ampersands. other days it’s robots. but i kind of like how this procrastination art project came out, so i thought i would share.

what are your favorite procrastination habits? it’s strange that mine still IS design. you would think it would be twitter or a game of backgammon. nope. i’m addicted to design i guess.

I love that one in the upper right hand corner. Is that a font?

  • 7. kelly  |  November 10th, 2011 at 8:54 am

I meant upper left hand corner! Clearly, I have no idea what RIGHT & LEFT means…

    Love this!

My way of proscrastinating is reading blogs or drawing something! Basically, always looking for new ideas.

Great way of creatively procrastinating and providing pieces of art at the same time! I love the two on the left.
I usually end up making a cup of tea then looking on Pinterest or reading blogs and then get really inspired to do a new post or something totally unrelated to what I was meant to be doing….just as I am doing now! LOL

I think this proves that even though you’re overwhelmed, you love what you do. And that’s all that matters. I hope I get to that place, too : )

mine is design too, it’s just what designers have to do sometime to keep themselves sane, design for themselves!

I think the upper left is Baskerville Italic, right Bri?

Love what Colleen said. Sounds so fun! And it suddenly made me flash back to preschool where we got to color in Little Miss Sunshine coloring books, and it is such a bright happy memory. :)

P.s. Where do you get the blank pics? And what do you use to color them, or are you coloring digitally?

i LOVE ampersands! i can totally understand why you’d procrastinate here :)

  • 23. Courtney Ann  |  November 10th, 2011 at 9:30 pm

lol! That’s an awesome habit. When i don’t feel like studying or knitting an order, i start new projects (the irony i know). I was definitely making a bracelet with my biology book in front of me and a half made hat on my desk.

    I love your blog:)
