STYLE / 06

style column photos by angela+ithyle

As a freelancer, client meetings can be scary, and sending the right message is important. But, professional attire can be so boring, right? It takes a little courage to mix two prints together (and then accessorize on top of that) but just embrace your inner “i like it, and don’t really care if you do.” I sometimes tone down their first impression a bit by covering up my colorful pizazz with a nice solid jacket, and then BAM! (see below) open up and reveal that I have no fear when it comes to my favorite styles. I think clients like confidence, and an outfit is an excellent way to show them that you have it.

jacket: h&m, necklace: vintage, shoes: kate spade, shirt: forever 21, skirt: dolce vita, neon ring: kate spade, yellow ring: anthropologie, pink lipstick: nars schiap

I really love this one! An outfit really is a great way to show you have confidence and know what you like. Professional attire can be horribly boring, so it’s fun to add some surprises here and there :)

What a fantastic attitude you have! I am in the college of Agriculture(lots of cowboys) and feel a bit shy about what I wear. Your comments have made my day :)

Haha, loved the gif! I work for a bank, where everybody dress the same, all the girls dressed like men, and I don’t care, they may look at me like I’m a freak, but oh well, that’s me.

Agree with Missy – you really do radiate creativity Bri!
Love this outfit. I need to trim down my waist first (babies will do that) and then look at acquiring a few printed skirts for mixing and matching!

Gawh! I have that skirt and always wear it with a boring ol’ t shirt. Boring no more! Thanks for the pattern boost, Bri!

I’m just cruising through your style posts for the bugillionth time and I love all of your huge rings. You wear one or two in almost every post and even though I’m not a big ring person, I’m seriously considering becoming one. Can’t wait to see the new style pics you guys took this weekend (Yes, I stalk you on twitter as well.)
